Stormy

We woke up to a cloudy morning on Sunday, but it turned out to be a great day! Happy Father's Day Pop/Earl!

Camp

We got the last camping spot in the campground when we arrived. There are around 80 sites total. This is a view from our site.

Elk

Within a mile of entering the park, we saw our first elk. He was standing right beside the road.

We finally arrived at Yellowstone on Saturday night

We are getting closer to Yellowstone!

Had to do tech support work from this location

Old meets new

Hope you can get the full effect of this picture. This guy was decked out in full cowboy attire, riding a 30k custom Harley.

Back to the town of Red Lodge

Back down the mountain

So....

We get to the top, and it had started snowing, and they had closed the road. So, back down the mountain we went. The alternate road was closed due to a rock slide. We then had to drive around and come in the North entrance to Yellowstone. This ended up costing us about six hours.

Check out the snow pole, the snow gets really deep around here

These little guys were extremely friendly

Watering time

So I've never been woken up by a sprinkler hitting the camper. I'm sure I've parked around them but I guess here in Billings, MT the watering schedule is a little different. That would fit everything else in This town. It is a little odd. A pic out the window, a pic of the offending sprinklers after we moved, and a pic of the wash. It was long past wakeup time anyway.

Billings, MT at night

Snow fences

I don't understand how these work but they are along most of the interstate in Wymoing.

Welcome to Wyoming

Museum

Motorcycle museum in what looks like an old post office.

A quick cruise through Sturgis

Not at all what one expected. It is just a plain town or was this Friday afternoon. 5 p'clock traffic was far less than NYC at 5 on a Friday.
