Buffalo

We saw a herd of buffalo chase a photographer back in a van and a few other idiots approach the heard while they were grunting and clearly agitated. People really are stupid. We were ready to video the goring but it didn't occur.

Ranch anyone?

This ranch will only cost you 5.9 million. Anyone interested?

What a beautiful part of the country!

Red rocks

Mike said this is one of the prettiest places he had been.

Lunch

We stopped and made lunch by the river on this road. After lunch, we saw a wolf come out and try to get a baby calf. The mama cow stood up and protected the baby and the wolf went away. The last picture is what we think is a wolf track.

Our home away from home

The Gros Ventre Slide

We drove down this really breathtaking road yesterday. Gros Ventre Road. This was along the road. The slide pushed rocks 300 ft up the other side of the river.

Moose

So we saw this big fella first thing Tuesday morning.

Dinner

We headed into Jackson or Jackson Hole (depending on who you ask) for dinner. We ate at Merry Piglets. It was delicious.

Grand Teton

We made it to Grand Teton and got a campsite at Gros Ventre. We love this part of the park. There are still a lot of fires burning in and around the area so it is really hard to see the mountains.

Miles so far

Monday

So we headed out of Yellowstone on Monday and headed to the Tetons. Goodbye Yellowstone for now, but we will be back again.

Why did the buffalo cross the road?

Motorcycles

Check out the cool kickstands.

Motorcycles

So we stopped for petrol and all of these old motorcycles started pulling in. They were on a ride from New York to San Francisco. It is called the Cannonball and they started riding on September 4th. To be eligible to ride, their motorcycle had to be from 1929 or older.

Beautiful view of the falls

We had a beautiful view from the bottom of the falls and this nice couple asked if we would like for them to take our picture.

Uncle Tom's Trail

So, we decided to take this trail to the bottom of the falls. It was a 500 ft change in elevation with over 300 steps. I think going down the steps was worse than coming up. You could see through the steps. Yikes!

Lower falls

This place is neat. Everyday at 9:45am a rainbow appears at the bottom of the falls.

Grizzly bear

This guy was HUGE!

Hazy morning
